There is more parking than you can swing a fat cat. - The Coronation Hall (Orange Ballroom) is vacant on the corner of Dundonald and Newton with 40 parks, on the street, behind the copy shop on the corner of New North Rd and Dundonald , where there are vacant lots and of course under the water tower on the corner of Mt Eden Road and Symonds St. 

Getting there



Just 2 minutes south of the Karangahape Road/Queen Street intersection (see our location map).




By Car

From south via Southern Motorway (SH1)

Exit at Khyber Pass Road (exit # 430) turn left up Khyber Pass Road to the top of the hill, Dots is straight  ahead opposite Penny Farthings Bike Shop

 

From north via Northern Motorway (SH1)

Pass through spaghetti junction heading south, exit at Gillies Avenue (exit # 431), turn right at traffic lights and immediately right again so you are now heading back north on the motorway.

Exit at the next off ramp, Khyber Pass Road (exit # 430) turn left up Khyber Pass Road to the top of the hill, , Dots is straight  ahead opposite Penny Farthings Bike Shop

 

From west via North Western Motorway (SH16)

Exit at Newton Road off ramp (exit # 5 ) then turn right across the curved motorway overbridge. Follow Newton Road uphill to Symonds street lights. Turn right at lights.  , Dots is opposite Penny Farthings Bike Shop

 

By Taxi

We recommend Co-op taxis, ph 300 3000. They are reliable, efficient and generally knowledgeable about our location and routes to get here. Ask for an approximate cost when you order your taxi and ask for a car with electronic/credit Card payment facility if you require one

 

  BY BUS

Use the Maxx bus travel planner (http://www.maxx.co.nz/) from your address or location to: Symonds Street, Eden Terrace.

Your driver can direct you to the well-known Symonds Street/Mt Eden Road/New North Road intersection just a block or so away from the nearest bus stop.

Note: there are very few busses running between 11pm and 6am, especially on weeknights. Should you wish to use a taxi to return home we recommend Co-op cabs, ph 300 3000, and can phone a taxi to pick you from Dots


BY TRAIN

 

Use the Maxx bus/train travel planner (http://www.maxx.co.nz/) from your address or location to Mt Eden train station, just three blocks/4 minutes away from Dots

Exit the Mt Eden Station via the elevated walkway to Mt Eden Road. Turn left and walk north along Mt Eden Road, past one set of traffic lights and uphill through several short blocks to the major traffic light intersection at the end of Mt Eden Road, where New North Road branches to your left and Symonds Street to the right.

Cross over this intersection to the photocopy shop turn right and head towards Symonds st and Kyber pass intersection. Dots is under the 2 big billboards opposite Penny Farthings

FOOD

We are surrounded by food, so stuff yourself silly- 2 French (The French ate, and a cheap a cheerful), 2 Japanese (including Bian Fabulosity sushi,) a Noodle Shop, Chinese, 2 Italian, including, Ginas, Turkish, Thai, 2 Indian including a Tandoori specialist and several cafes. We provide snacks and you are welcome to bring your own food or we order in from Hell Pizza or Ginas.

 Why not have a drink before dinner and drop by later

 for a night cap and see a show.

 Drop by for after theatre drinks or after the stuffy works do and be yourself.

Dot's  Story

 
Dorothy has done a runner. Rumor has it she had botox, dumped the dog and ran off with the wizard. An alarmed Aunty Em called the family. Fortunately Peter Taylor, the original owner of Surrender Dorothy and Dorothy's closest confindent, found Dorothy's voluptuous younger sister, formerly a bordello madam and convinced her to save the family name. Both Peter and Dorothy's Sister have returned to lavish their Fabulosity upon all their brothers and sisters
